My Story
I grew up in a large family as the eldest daughter of a civil engineer and a physical therapist on the beaches of Jacksonville, Fl. My three brothers, and sister all found their passions within The Arts, myself taking to the traditional arts at a young age. My father is a passionate outdoorsman, he helped curate my passion for nature, as my mother taught me the wonders and power of the human form.
Music was always a huge influence, our home rang from laughter and happy feet dancing along to a record player. With words of encouragement from my parents, I was constantly drawing and filling up buckets of sketchbooks. I didn’t have much direction or training into the fine arts until entering college where I meet the professor in printmaking, who would become a mentor to me. Under his guidance, my work expanded into a concentration in relief printing, hand painted prints, using watercolors. Expanding upon my interests in The Arts, I found myself in the realm of Digital Media for a B.A.S. at FSCJ. My journey continues with my pursuit into an M.F.A. in Printmaking.
